Rotary Ladies Night is a function enjoyed by all, but it also marks the drawing to conclusion of his year in office for the President John Orbell.

Held at The Conservative Club, Creek Rd upon Saturday evening 31st March, it was a chance for the Ladies, Wives and Guests, to doll their finery, and the Gentlemen to compliment them After socialising and greeting old friends in the Bar, the Members, and Visitors sat down to a fine meal of Salmon Threeways, a Trio of Meats, and tasty tangy Orange Tart. The Catering and Bar Staff performing their duties in the usual friendly and efficient way.

Grace was given by David Harrison, The President proposing The Loyal Toast, and due in course, welcomed all, reflecting upon the Clubs achievements over the last year. Peter Bennett, Junior Vice President proposed a Toast to The Ladies, with The Presidents Lady, Maureen Orbell, responding in a light hearted way, to the enjoyment of all.

The meal concluded with a Final Toast, Rotary and Peace The World Over, when The Skyliners commenced playing Music for Dancing. It was a late hour when some 60 revellers wended their way home after a fine evening in convivial company.
