Delfland Nurseries Visit 13th May 2012

Perhaps one of the most enjoyable, and well attended functions held by March Rotary Club in the last year, was the Gardener's Question Time Evening. A large attendance, with visitors from other local Rotary Clubs, had their gardening problems answered by the very able team from Delfland Nurseries, Doddington, Jill Vaughan and John Overvoorde.

As a result, and such was the interest shown, that an invite to visit Delfland in the Spring was offered to the assembled audience. This was taken up on Sunday afternoon 13th May, when many March Rotarians, guests and friends where given a private guided tour of the famous establishment, that lasted well over an hour, giving a previously unimagined insight to the world of commercial plant production. Actually 40 million a year.!
