Tuesday afternoon, 15th May, saw a friendly Quiz organised by the local Age Concern, held in March Town Hall. Entries had been invited from across The Fens, with 2 teams from both Chatteris Age Well and NHS Retirement Fellowship. Wisbech and March Rotary Clubs, made up the sextet .
With ten rounds of varied general knowledge subjects, including cryptic questions, the pace was brisk. At the conclusion, to their supprise and delight, the March Rotary Team of President John Orbell, his Wife Maureen, and Club Hon. Secretary, Alan Burdass, found themselves the overall winners.
The Shield was Presented to John Orbell, by the New Mayor of March, Jan French, this being her first official engagement since installation the previous evening. John thanked her graciously, and the other contestants for an enjoyable afternoon. The Trophy will now join a number of others acquired over the last eighteen months.
