What could be better than a tranquil river cruise on perhaps the best evening this year? and that was exactly the circumstances for the visit by The Rotary Club of March to Fox Narrowboats upon the 23rd July.
The visit, at the invite of Paula and Gerald Syred, was a delight, the members being taken for a hours trip along the River Nene as far as West End and then return up to the new Middle Level Offices.
The family firm was formed in 1952 by the late well know and respected Charlie Fox who had served his boat building apprenticeship in Ely with Appleyard and Lincoln. Then in the mid 1970
