Meeting at 6pm at Kings College we enjoyed the warm, golden evening sunshine as it shone on the river and the ancient college buildings.The tour of the colleges by punt to Jesus Green lock and back, with Alan and Paul providing the pole power, was accomplished without too much mishap! A beautiful and tranquil spot was chosen for a picnic with fine views of Kings Chapel and its verdant lawns and we were well entertained by watching the inexperienced weaving back and forth across the water, narrowly missing bridges and each other.
