Roger will speak about 'How Rotary changed my life'

The University Arms Hotel provides a lovely setting for this festive meal - at lunch time rather than the usual twilight time for a club meeting.
It was lovely to get together and brilliant that almost all the club attended our annual Christmas Lunch with guests, partners and families including grand-children.. The room was fetchingly decorated with seasonal trimmings and the tables elegantly laid. The serving staff were very efficient and plied us with three very tasty courses of christmas fayre including vegetarian options. Rtn Roger Daw spoke very entertainingly about his experience of 7 weeks as a rotarian scholar in the USA. This included such open and enthusiastic hospitality that he felt he couldn't refuse, so much so that one day, with three different hosts he ate three 16oz steaks in a row!
