Dinner - Robert Freeman - Magic!

Mon, May 20th 2013 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Robert Freeman

A goodly number of Members and Wives gathered for the regular Monday meeting at The Conservative Club, Creek Rd, on Monday 20th May. After a fine 3 course meal, the President, Ross Davies announced that the long awaited speaker for which so many had attended, had, at the very last minute been forced to cancel his attendance, for unexpected and entirely understandable reasons.

He has promised to fulfil his engagement in the at the earliest opportunity.

Therefore we had to secure a Speaker at very short notice, about nine hours.  Fortunately, our very talented conjurer and magician, Rotarian Robert Freeman, who is frequently engaged in entertaining the passengers on cruise ships, volunteered his services and they were gratefully accepted.  He entertained Members and their ladies in a very professional manner for approaching an hour.  Each individual trick was very much appreciated, and at the conclusion he received thunderous applause.

It was an excellent ending to another happy and enjoyable evening.

The vote of thanks was given by Rotarian Bruce Wood.
