Dinner - President Handover

Monday the 1st July 2013, saw a good representation of March Rotary Club Members in attendance to witness the installation of the new President for the year 2013 - 14, Peter Bennett. Retiring President Ross Davis, thanked the club for the support he had received during the past twelve months, and mentioned in passing some of the functions that had been held. Fenland Music Concert, Kids Out, etc, but perhaps the highlight was the dedication of the plaque at the Stone Cross in The Causeway by the Bishop of Huntingdon, and attended by The Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire. The instigation of which Peter English and Don Morris must take full credit. He then called upon Peter Bennett to receive the Chain of Office. Godfrey Smith was welcomed as Senior Vice President and Chris Bishop as Junior Vice President. Michael Calvert takes on the role of Hon Secretary, Alan Burdass continues as Treasurer. Peter Bennett stepped into his new role and spoke of his aspiration for the coming year. If all members play their part, as in the past, we can look forward to a successful future in Peace and Fellowship.
