Young Musician

In front of a packed house at Newbattle Abbey on Sunday the 7^th April, District 1020 competitors took three of the four top places in the Scotland and NE England Regional Final of the Rotary GB&I Young Musician of the Year. Connor Smith (Currie Balerno) won the voice competition, with Sophie Halpin (Bathgate) the runner-up; and Catriona Clark (Castle Douglas) was the runner-up in the instrumental competition. Laura Ayoub (Ditrict 1230) won the instrumental competition.
