Over 70 residents of homes and sheltered housing in Galashiels guests of the Rotary Club
Over 70 residents of homes and sheltered housing in Galashiels had a free lunch and entertainment recently. They were guests of the Rotary Club in the Gala RFC clubrooms at Netherdale.
A soup and pud lunch was laid on, followed by entertainment by Jimmy Gold on the accordion and a raffle when, surprisingly, everyone went home with a prize!
This was the first time that the event had been held at lunchtime and compere, Rotarian John Gray, commented that the new format had been a great success. Many of the guests also promised to be back next year and bring others with them.
