Honour for Young Musician winner

Young Musician winner Connor Smith visits Parliament


Connor Smith hit the right note in winning the Rotary GB&I National Young Musician of the Year vocal section competition and as an added bonus prize he was congratulated personally by his local MSP Angela Constance, who is Minister for Youth Employment. Connor, together with family and Rotarians from Currie Balerno who sponsored him, were given VIP treatment at the Scottish Parliament, listening to First Minister's question time and enjoying a conducted tour.

Connor and MSP Angela Constance are pictured with his mother and step father, Shirley and Chris Maver, District 1020 Chairman of Youth Services Theresa Douglas, Currie Balerno President Mike Rowe, YMOY organiser Ralph Allardyce, Myrtle Allardyce and AG Lindsay Craig, also a Currie Balerno Club member.
