Callum Brown gives a presentation on RYLA 2013

Rotary Youth Leadership Awards ( RYLA) is a program that enables young persons aged between 18 and 26, to spend a week at a specific centre where they develop their physical, mental, and social skills, in company with other young people from across East Anglia.

At a joint meeting with the Wisbech Rotary Club last Monday 9th September Callum Brown, a student who will shortly be going to University, was the Guest Speaker at March Rotary Club. He had been jointly sponsored by the March and Wisbech Clubs to participate in the RYLA programme which had given him an active, exhausting, but also invigorating 7 days at Grafham Water Centre.

Callum, who was selected from suitable candidates to participate in the programme was introduced by Wisbech Rotarian Peter Davis. He gave a thoroughly interesting articulate presentation on his week's experience which involved developing independence through a series of activities and testing aspects of individual strength. He felt that the programme had given him excellent life skills as he embarked on his degree course at University

Callum was thanked on behalf of both Clubs by March Rotarian Don Morris for a most enlightening and entertaining presentation, he was then presented with a Certificate acknowledging his successful attendance on the programme by March President Peter Bennett.
