Hettie went on an expedition to Peru as part of a team of 10 young people accompanied by teachers and a tour guide. Some of the highlights of her expedition included helping with a community project, exploring the Machu Picchu, trekking high into the Andes and enjoying the cultural delights of Cusco and Lima.

Charlotte choose an expedition to Thailand, Laos and Cambodia as part of a team of 13 young people and again accompanied by teachers and a tour guide. Some of her highlights included exploring Angkor Wat, a trip along the Mekong River, getting to know and helping to teach English to children in an orphanage in Cambodia and visiting temples and other attractions throughout the region.

At the conclusion of their presentations both girls thanked the Club for the financial contribution it had made. Finally Rtn. George White thanked them both for a special evening of happy, entertaining and professional presentation and congratulated them on raising the funds to finance their experiences and was pleased that the Club had been able to help.
