Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - Santa Claus has been out and about ...

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - My granddaughters - Isabel (l) and Hannah (r) with Santa at Poplar Tree Garden Centre.

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - Saturday 7th December - and we are in the shadow of Durham Cathedral during the Christmas Market event - a prime position.

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - This is a first... Mrs Claus - or Mother Santa - takes over from Santa Claus. Apparently he had to go home to put the dinner on ... or was it to trim his beard?

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - Mrs Claus (aka Rtn. Pauline Crow) is in charge.

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - And on Sunday 8th we were entertained by the Chapel Choir of University College (The Castle) who sang a selection of carols next to our sleigh.

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - To conclude his rounds, Santa ended up in the Market Place in Durham - in front of the Town Hall ...

Christmas Sleigh - 2013 - ... and, appropriately, near the church of Saint Nicholas.

Santa's first call was at the Poplar Tree Garden Centre in Shincliffe
on November 30th and December 1st , between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

And then through December (all between 10:00am and 4:00pm):-

Friday 6th -         Marks & Spencer, Arnison Centre, Durham
Saturday 7th -     Palace Green, Durham
Sunday 8th -       Palace Green, Durham
Saturday 14th - Sainsbury, Arnison Centre, Durham
Sunday 15th -     Sainsbury, Arnison Centre, Durham
Friday 20th -       Market Place, Durham
