On Monday the 25th November at the regular evening meeting of March Rotary Club the guest speaker was Justin Adkins from Arlington (Texas) in the USA.

On Monday the 25th November at the regular evening meeting of March Rotary Club the guest speaker was Justin Adkins from Arlington (Texas) in the USA

Introduced by Rtn John Cox Justin is a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar studying engineering at Darwin College, Cambridge, on graduation from the West Point Military Academy from where he came out as a Major in the US Army.

The purpose of the Ambassadorial Scholarships program is to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas

Justin talked about his family background, his studies at West Point and Darwin College and how much he is enjoying his time in the UK. He answered many questions about his career so far and where he sees it going when he returns to the USA

John Orbell gave a vote of thanks for a most enlightening insight into the life of a military scholar and wished him on behalf of the Club all the best in his future endeavours. Club President Peter Bennett presented Justin with a Club banner in acknowledgement of his visit.
