Rotary members make a difference in the local community and internationally. In 2012 because of the efforts of Rotarians and their friends and family voting daily from their computers, smartphones, and tablets, Rotary International received 2.5 million airline miles through United's 10 Million Charity Miles Giveaway. The miles were used to change lives by helping with humanitarian projects, such as transporting children with birth defects to hospitals for treatments they can't receive at home.
in 2013 - we once again hadthe opportunity to take a minute to vote daily to make a big difference in the lives of others.
The Rotary Club of Thame extended the invite to the local community and asked everybody to vote daily for Rotary through 31 December at www.10millioncharitymiles.com
The vote is now closed.
back The aim of this action group is to coordinate the fundraising activities of the club for the chosen charities of the year.
