Amberieu Visit 2014 - On Saturday the whole party had a guided tour of Eton College. Here the visitors stand totally bemused by Anthony Gormley's statue on the face of one of the accommodation blocks.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - After an excellent lunch at Gilbeys in Eton,this group made a mad dash to London to the M&M Store, at the specific request of 3 French visitors. Here, energy is being rekindled with glasses of warm English beer.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - Re-energised, there was even time for a little sightseeing.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - For the Saturday evening entertainment, hosts and visitors were split into 3 pre-determined groups. Here one of the groups are enjoying an excellent meal at Boulters Lock on the Thames at Maidenhead.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - Every exchange visit must have a keenly fought International sporting event. This year it was Curling. (without the ice). The event was held at the Sportsable facility in Maidenhead.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - A highlight of the weekend was a Hog Roast picnic in the garden of Rtn Nick Teale and his wife Shirley. Not only did we celebrate the visit of our, but it was also Nick's 'special' birthday. (It was soixante-dix, but don't tell anyone)

Amberieu Visit 2014 - Nick worked so hard that he could be forgiven an occasional lapse of concentration! RCBB President Neil Smith seems to be trying a diversionary tactic, by offering quantities of Chilean wine to Pres. Glorio.

Amberieu Visit 2014 - Particularly welcome was Monique Billot, the widow of Jean-Pierre Billot who sadly died this year. Jean-Pierre was flamboyant character, keen supporter of the exchange from the very beginning. He and Monique hosted the traditional Sunday Picnic on several
