Young Citizen Awards 2019

The Rotary GB&I Young Citizen Awards are an excellent opportunity for your club to celebrate the achievements and commitment of inspiring young people in your community.

Individuals and groups of young people, aged under 25 years, making a positive difference may be nominated. Clubs may make more than one nomination.

Winners receive trophies and £500 for their chosen charity. The awards will be presented at the Rotary GB&I conference in Nottingham on 12 May 2019.

There is a separate Rotary Young Citizen WheelPower Sports to recognize the achievements and contribution as a positive role model of a wheelchair sports participant or a group.

New for 2018/19 is the Rotary Young Citizen Peacekeeper Award, reflecting Rotary’s area of focus on Peace and Conflict Prevention/Resolution. This award recognizes young people who have made a significant contribution by building peace and understanding in their school, local community or internationally.

Please note that there are potential costs for nominees invited to the Rotary GB&I Conference (as a finalist), for travel, accommodation, etc., for the young person and a parent/ teacher etc.  Rotary GB&I will help with a grant up to £200 per nomination. Additional support may be available via the District Youth Success Support Fund.
