Mark is a Lecturer in Ancient History. His main research interest is the social and political history of the Levant in the first millennium BC. He is the author of Ancient Phoenicia: An Introduction (Bristol Classical Press 2011) and was written articles on various aspects of the religion and history of Ancient Canaan and Phoenicia. He is currently in the early stages of a research project that seeks to explore information as a commodity in the ancient Near East.
