Email from District Governor Elect Stan Bowes

Further to my earlier email, could you please let me know as soon as possible, and no later than 30 April, how many members of your team will be attending the District Assembly on 7th May 2016, along with their names and the office they will be holding in your year.  The invitation is of course open to all members of the club, whether or not they are chairing a committee, in which case just supply their name.

This information is important because we need to know the numbers we are catering for.  Note that vouchers for the buffet, issued at registration, will only be available to those whose name has been supplied in advance.

The format for the event is as follows:

                  8:30 to    9:30                Registration
                  9:00 to    9:30                Coffee
9:30 to  10:30                First plenary session
10:30 to  12:00                First breakout session
12:00 to    1:00                Light buffet lunch
1:00 to    2:30                Second breakout session
2:30 to    3:00                Wrap up session

We are lucky to have incoming Rotary GB&I President Eve Conway attending the Assembly.  She will be addressing the Assembly during the first plenary session.

The breakouts will include sessions for all service committees, with the exception of Vocation.  There will also be a session for Admin/Secretaries, and a ‘mini’ PETS for those who were not able to attend the full PETS event.

The afternoon breakout sessions will essentially be a repeat of the morning sessions.  The idea is to cater for the many Rotarians who are chairing more and one committee within their club.

I have attached a map showing the address and location of the Mary Seacole Building in Salford.  A copy of this will be available on the District website in the next few days.

Best regards
