Gin sampling plus canapes . . . .
A good crowd gathered at The Dining Rooms for their (and our) first gin tasting event.
The eight gins on display for tasting were accompanied by canapes to match each one together with a helpful information sheet to assist us match the numbered gins available with the tasting notes provided.
The determined and keen drinkers amongst us worked hard to identify the large selection of gins available.

The three most successful amongst us identified 4 - which the rest of us found remarkable as our taste buds had long ceased to function sensibly!
Drawn from the three, the winner was Miss Joanna Hill who won a bottle of Brecon Botanicals Gin and a Sunday lunch for 2 at The Dining Rooms . . . and the respect of the room!
Many thanks to all who came along and to Geoff, Charlotte and all the Dining Rooms Staff who made the evening such a success.

The Gin & Tonic Summer Season is rapidly approaching!
The Rotary Club of Oswestry are holding a Gin Tasting social evening for Club members and Friends of the Club.
Gin Tasting will be: Tasting measures 12.5 ml. of 8 gins each accompanied by a canapé designed to complement the gin.
Gins will be unmarked but have tasting notes. There will be a list of the gins on show. There will be a prize for the most correct answers of Sunday Lunch for two and a bottle of Brecon Botanical Gin.
Tickets/entry £15 to include a Bombay Dry and Fevertree after the tasting.
The timing is 7.15 for a 7.30 start and you would probably need to have already eaten your evening meal . . .
Gin is very popular at the moment so this is likely to be an event where you could invite friends to come along too.
