International Students Evening

Oswestry is home to students from all over the world. And once a year, the Rotary Club of Oswestry celebrate that fact by holding an International Students Evening, giving the young adults an opportunity to talk about their experiences to members and guests.

This year, the event was all the nore poignant as it was one of the final events at The Dining Rooms before its closure – and the restaurant has long been the club’s weekly meeting venue.

Students from Oswestry School, Ellesmere College, The Marches, Adcote School and Moreton Hall spoke at the event.

Don Howard, who organised the evening for the Rotary Club, said: “It’s amazing that Oswestry has such schools that are able to attract such talent. The staff at these colleges, and the leadership shown at each
