Mon, Jun 13th 2016 at 11:00 am- Mon, Jun 27th 2016 - 4:00 pm

The winners of the 2016 Millicent Kaye Art Competition for Primary School children from around Oswestry are listed here and will be presented with their prizes at the opening of the exhibition at The Qube on Monday 13th June

The Rotary Club of Oswestry has been running the Millicent Kaye Art Competition for young people since 1996 in memory of well known local artist Millicent Kaye who died in that year.  The Award is based on a competition which is open to all students in Years 5 and 6 at primary schools in Oswestry and the extended geographic boundaries set by the Club’s Community Service Committee.

The competition is open also to home-educated children in this age group.

Prizes are awarded both to the individual artist and the school they represent. There is also an award for the school which has, in the opinion of the judge, made outstanding effort.

Each year the Club sets a theme for the competition which aims to be flexible and easily adapted to the curriculum. The theme for this year is “THE SEA”.

We are delighted to report that this year a record 353 entries were received! The list of Prize Winners is below - please do come and visit the exhibition?
