Five teams competed in the Rotary Club of Oswestry's Youth Speaks Competition 2015 the field having been reduced by the withdrawl of 3 teams before the event.
Congratulations to Moreton Hall, the winners of both Senior and Intermediate contests, who proceed to the next round of the event, the District 1180 final on Friday 26th February 2016 at the Catrin Finch Centre, Glyndwr University, Wrexham (evening).

This competition aims to offer young people from our local schools:
* experience in speaking on a public platform as a member of a team
* an incentive to formulate ideas on topical subjects
* discipline in dealing with a topic in a limited time
* the opportunity of learning and practising high standards of expression, presentation and appearance
* impartial feedback and assessment of performance by experienced adjudicators
