Fri, Sep 4th 2015 at 10:00 am- Sun, Sep 6th 2015 - 5:00 pm

Thame was represented by Thame Rotary and Thame Inner Wheel leaders at the Sinaia Forever Festival 2015. Sinaia (Romania) and Thame (England) have been officially twinned since September 2012.

The delegation from Thame included June Bateman, President of Thame Inner Wheel Club, Erroll Bateman, President Elect - Rotary Club of Thame, Lynn Singer - Inner Wheel, John Singer, President Nominee - Rotary Club of Thame.

Strengthening the friendship between the two twinned towns, Thame and Sinaia, was the major discussion topic during the official meeting with Vlad Oprea, Mayor of Sinaia. School students exchanges which took place with the other twins of Sinaia could be an opportunity for school children of Thame.

Sinaia is well known for  its monastery and the 19th Century Peles Castle which was built bu Carol 1st, King of Romania.

More information about the Thame-Sinaia twinning can be found on Thame-Sinaia Friendship Association FB page.
