The Rotary Club of Galashiels held its annual sponsored Team Golf Competition for the New Millennium Quaich Trophy over Torwoodlee Golf Club, Galashiels on Sunday, 12th June, 2016, when 15 Teams of four took part. About £1000.00 was raised on the day for local charities, but the main beneficiary of the cash raised will be towards a Bladder Scanner for the Maternity Unit at Borders General Hospital.
The Rotary Club would like to thank the Captain, Committee and Members of Torwoodlee Golf Club for allowing them the use of their course. They would also like to thank the green staff at the Club for the excellent condition of the course and the catering staff their excellent service throughout the day.
The weather was damp in the morning, better in the afternoon but excellent for golf.
The Rotary Club would also like to thank the many firms and individuals who sponsored holes or prizes, which greatly contributed to the success of the day.
