Rotary Club of Oswestry Supports Earthquake Victims of Ecuador

Water Survival Boxes for Ecuador
Water Survival Boxes for Ecuador

Dear all

You will all be aware of the plight of the survivors of the earthquakes in Ecuador and the need for aid to these people. ShelterBox have been quick off the mark but after discussions amongst the Club officers, we feel that we should give our Club's support via WorldWaterWorks Ltd, a not-for-profit company set up by Chelwood Bridge Rotary Club in Somerset 10 years ago. They produce two Water Survival Boxes - the first being a smaller version of a ShelterBox with equipment for four people (£150), the second a multi-pack of 5 water filtration boxes each supplying four people with 2 litres of drinking water/day for 12 months.(£350).

Full details at http://www.watersurvivalbox.org/our-products.

It is our recommendation that we make a donation of £650 which would provide a multi pack of the water filtration boxes and 2 equipment boxes.

This decision was ratified at today's meeting.

Kind regards
Ian
