Rotaventure - ChesterBoat Trip to Ironbridge

Fri, Jul 21st 2017 at 2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

ChesterBoat Trip to Ironbridge with Victorian tea on board (Approx 2 hours) £24.20 per person

Sit Back, Relax and Enjoy Rural Cheshire….

Enjoy a leisurely 2 hour cruise through the Eaton Estate, home of the Duke of Westminster. This stunning journey is an extension of our city cruise up the beautiful River Dee, cruising through rural Cheshire, past Heron Bridge and Eccleston Ferry, meandering around the Crook of Dee and through ‘Eaton Estate’. Just beyond Aldford you will see the wonderful sight of the Iron Bridge, before you then return to Chester.

This is an excellent outing for sightseers to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the river whilst you may also have the opportunity to see and photograph wild life including Swans, Herons, Cormorants, Moorhens and even Kingfishers. Your cruise will be punctuated with informative sightseeing commentary.

25 Rotarians and guests enjoyed the Chester river trip despite the trauma of trying to board the wrong boat. Mike J was fitted with his own personal high-vis lifejacket and Muriel provided with a life insurance claim form just in case. There was a cry of ‘ Michael, we‘re heading for the trees’ as the boat was turned at the Iron Bridge – thankfully, the manoeuvre was completed without incident.

The new Rotaventure programme will follow in the next few weeks.
