Fullarton Connexions - 20/02/17

Weekly Press Report

On Monday evening, Seagate Rotary met at Fullarton ConneXions for a meal and an introduction to the new facility.  The minister, Rev. Neil Urquhart, gave an illustrated presentation on the building of the new complex which has been sympathetically and imaginatively developed to provide many adaptable rooms, halls and spaces in the refurbished church and hall linked by a new building.

This was followed by a tour of the centre.  Fullarton ConneXions has become a real community hub, with over 70 volunteers running everything, from the cafe to the youth groups, and many different activities taking place every day.  Individual halls and rooms can be hired for meetings and seminars, and the redeveloped church itself can seat up to 300 for concerts and other events.

It was really encouraging to see such an active and involved community which caters for all age groups and particularly helps those in need.  There were many questions to Neil, and a Vote of Thanks was proposed by Sandy Niven.
