Presentation to Hospice

Hospice Isle of Man Lymphoedema team was delighted to receive the generous donation of £3,150 to fund the purchase of a Pulsepress Lymph Flow Chamber Pump plus Garment System and sleeves. This is used for patients who develop Lymphoedema (swelling of the limbs) as a result of their treatment whether for cancer or other conditions.

The equipment was purchased by a donation from the Rotary Club of Douglas Charitable Trust as Trustees of the Lockington Marshall Trust.

“The onset of Lymphoedema can be devastating as it is a condition which is incurable and strikes suddenly without warning,” Rotary Club of Douglas President Howard Callow explained. “However” he went on to say, “ Karen Taylor and her fantastic team at Hospice do wonderful work to reduce the symptoms of Lymphoedema and support their clients to enable them to live with this condition with minimum inconvenience. We at the Rotary Club of Douglas are delighted to be able to provide this state of the art equipment to Hospice to allow the best possible treatment to be provided to the people of the Isle of Man.”
