International Caravanning Fellowship of Rotarians

In 1967, a party of 22 Rotarians from RIBI led by Robert Sutcliffe took their caravans to the RI Convention in Nice in the South of France. They enjoyed the fellowship and friendship so much that on their return and with RI approval, they founded ICFR.

Caravanning (including motorhomes) with Rotarians has grown in popularity through the years. Today, there are approaching 1200 members in the UK and many more associated fellowships around the world. Fellowship and friendship remains the aim and this is achieved through an extensive programme of rallies held throughout the British Isles and overseas to Europe, New Zealand, South Africa and USA/Canada.

There is a wonderful list of rallies all around the country throughout the year in many cases linked with festival dates and beautiful locations. If you are interested explore  and join this fellowship!

Our South West area is a combination of Districts with its own committee structure and the next meeting is an Autumn lunch (meeting 12 Noon for 1.00pm lunch on Sunday 22 October 2017), at the Mercure Hotel, Exeter. We hope the meeting will agree a rally for the Teignmouth Golf Festival in June 2018 organised by Anthony Johnson and Joanna (Newton Abbot) and Graham Bulford (Exeter Southernhay) and Sue.
