Coastal Path Walk - La Mare Vineyard to Greve de Lecq
Sample the wine at La Mare, enjoy the fresh air along a coastal walk to Greve de Lecq where recovery can be made in the Moulin de Lecq pub or Colleen's cafe. What more could you want?
Rotary Club de La Manche are organising this beautiful coastal walk for you to enjoy. What better way to unwind after a couple of days in the conference hall!
Situated on the north-west coast of Jersey, the walk offers views of Guernsey, Sark, Herm and, on clear days, Alderney. The Paternoster reef lies between Sark and Greve de Lecq and each year there is a rowing race from Sark to Greve de Lecq, which is quite a challenge for most participants.
The tour leaves St Helier at around 10:00 for La Mare Vineyards, and a tour of the vineyard and a wine tasting experience are included. There will then be an opportunity to take light refreshments (at your own expense) before the party sets out for the walk at about 13:00.
You will be guided along the coastal path which generally descends to Greve de Lecq beach shown above. Naturally there are some uphill bits too!
At Greve de Lecq you will see the Jersey Militia’s old barracks and have the opportunity to “recover” in the pubs and café there, before returning to St Helier by coach at around 16:00.
Cost: £16-00 per person. To include transport to and from St Helier and the guided tour/wine-tasting.
Tour available Monday 15th October. Note now sold out.
More information on the walk is available on the Rotary de la Manche website here.
If you wish to join the trip please select that option during registration and pay as part of your delegate package.
