A great opportunity to visit a working Jersey Farm with its famous herd of Jersey cattle.
Rotary Club de la Manche is organising a unique opportunity for visitors to see a working Jersey farm with its famous herd of Jersey cattle.
Set in a picturesque part of the Island with views over France, the farm is home to the Island’s largest herd, with many outstanding Jersey cows on display. The Jersey cow is world-renowned and the second largest dairy breed globally.
The farmer will describe how the farm is run and how careful emphasis is applied to the breeding of the pedigree herd and the production of healthy, nutritional milk. We all know that Jersey milk is the creamiest and most nutritional dairy product available anywhere – join us and see some of Jersey’s fertile countryside and its beautiful Jersey cow.
Cost: £6.00 per person which includes transport from St Helier to the farm and back.
Availability: Tuesday 16th October, depending on interest we may run a tour in both the morning and the afternoon.
