Building Together a Refreshed Rotary Offer for the 21st Century

This is a special event being put on so Clubs can be informed about the RIBI Rotary 2 initiative and start to think about their own Club Membership Planning.

Hopefully Clubs will have seen the excellent video Rotary GB&I President Denis Spiller has made to explain decisions needed to be taken at the Rotary Annual Business Meeting in April (see video https://youtu.be/lE8sBPNLyXg) , as part of the Rotary 2 initiative which has been running throughout 2017/18. To help Clubs develop plans to be part of refreshing Rotary for the 21st Century, District 1110 are organising a Rotary 2 Event on Thursday 10th May, 2018 at  Crosfield Hall, Romsey 7.00 for 7.30 - 9.30pm.

Rotary GB&I President Denis Spiller will be telling those present about the need to refresh our Rotary for the 21st Century, sharing Rotary GB&I's vision 20/20 that has led to the launch of Rotary 2 and subsequently the need for all structures at District and National level to be refreshed. As well as being able to hear Denis speak passionately about the need for this evolution, Rotarians will be able to ask him questions about this new way forward.

Other speakers present will lead interactive sessions, which will help Clubs consider the strategies and plans they will need to build in order to help in refreshing club programmes, including:
  • looking at community needs,
  • developing partnerships in their communities,
  • recruiting new members from a diverse and inclusive community,
  • considering how they can act as catalysts for new projects
  • helping to support Social Enterprise
  • developing a flexible and innovative approach to Rotary
  • using Social Media to network and promote Rotary

An evening planned to stimulate discussion around how all Clubs can be part of Rotary 2, growing new enthusiasm amongst existing members, so they can share the excitement of Rotary with potential new members.

We hope you will encourage representatives from your Club to come to this event, so we can build together a stronger and growing Rotary Offer in District 1110. Please RSVP your representatives coming to Tim Mason by 1st May, 2018.

Yours in Rotary,
Tim Mason, Coordinator District Membership Action Team
