Wickford Rotary Donates £3500 to St Luke from last year's Jazz!
Wickford Rotary members made a special visit to St Luke's with a generous donation of £3,555 which is being used to buy specialist equipment for the Hospice
Members of Wickford Rotary Club have been supporting St Luke's since before the Hospice opened in 1990, anmd this year was no exception!
Some members made a special visit to the Hospice with a donation of £3,555 which is being used to buy a specialist bed for one of the bedrooms and chairs for visitors to use the In-patient Unit.
The money was raised at their 10th Annual Jazz on a Summer Evening event held last year at Hyde Hall, together with a further £1,000 raised at other fundraising events.
And of course it's all happening again this year! Wickford Rotary will once again be supporting St. Luke’s Hospice with proceeds from our ‘Jazz on a Summer Evening' event, taking place on the evening of 30th June at Hyde Hall, Chelmsford featuring live music by the renowned jazz band ‘’The Sunshine Kings’’.
