History is made as Bernard Paull hands over the Presidency to Chrissie Bailey; the First Lady President in the Club's history

History is being made in Bridport Rotary. On July 4th Bernard Paull handed over The Presidency of Bridport Rotary Club to Chrissie Bailey. Chrissie is the first Lady President in the Club’s 71 year history and will be in office until July 2019. Following on from that Chrissie will handover to another Lady Rotarian Hilary Cunningham.
In his handover the outgoing President Bernard Paull thanked Chrissie for her help and support during the past year. and congratulated her on becoming the first lady president of the Club. He wished her every success during her Presidential year when he knows she will be a great ambassador for Rotary and the Rotary Club of Bridport. He also reflected on the successful work the club had done for the community over his year and also that five new members had joined the Club. Bernard’s President's charity, the Somerset & Dorset Air Ambulance was given £650 from his fund.
President Chrissie in her inaugural address said my overall wish for the club for this year is to consolidate the growth in membership sustained in Bernard’s year, and to try to widen our appeal as a club to younger people, broadening our diversity and embracing the future. In leading the club this year I want to bring life to this years guiding principle ' be the Inspiration', and to show this to our communities, families and friends.
Chrissie's charity will be Hope and Homes for Children.
