Sightsavers - Seeing is Believing

Sightsavers works to eliminate avoidable blindness and promote the rights of people with disabilities.

With views over the greens of Worcester Cricket ground, members of the Rotary club of Worcester met for a packed programme with visitors from India, Newent and Ledbury. The main focus was to receive Newent Rotarians Tim Rosser and Richard Taylor's donation of more than 750 pairs of glasses which will be packed and sent overseas to where they are desperately needed as part of the Sightsavers programme.

If you have unwanted glasses or know of an optician changing their stock of spectacles, please contact your local Rotary club who will help to donate them to Sightsavers.

You will be providing an opportunity to assist in the improvement of vision to so many people around the world who would not have access to spectacles.  Rotary Clubs have been steady supporters of Sightsavers since the 1970s, and have donated more than £900,000 since 2000.
