The Rotary Club of Bromley, with the much valued help of The Salvation Army, invite you to join us at the movies on Wednesday 24th October 2018 at 7.30pm in the Salvation Army Hall, Ethelbert Road, Bromley.

Breathe

We are delighted that on World Polio Day, Wednesday 24 October, we are able to screen this inspiring film which depicts the devastating impact of polio.

Confined to a hospital bed with a respirator and given just months to live, Robin Cavendish was able to leave the hospital with the encouragement and help of his wife, Diana,  and spent the rest of his life advocating for people with disabilities and popularising a new wheelchair with a built in respirator.

Rotary is working with the film’s producer, Robin and Diana’s son, Jonathan, to promote the organisation’s work to eradicate polio. Speaking at the film’s European premiere in London, Jonathan, who is featured in the movie, said: “The message of this film is that you can achieve anything if you have the right people around you and If you put everything into your relationship and really go for it, life will start looking rosier and better."
