M&C Saatchi have again been commissioned by Bill Gates to promote the “One Last Push” campaign

During

World Immunisation Week they will be holding several events in Birmingham from April 24 -30, to raise awareness of polio eradication.

These will include Local young artist, Amy Mitchell Meads will be painting portraits of polio survivors which will form the basic of an ongoing project document “The faces of Polio” she will have an exhibition at Birmingham New Street Station and her work will continue throughout the year.

Justin Sola a Birmingham based artist will be creating a piece of work on a wall in Birmingham (location tbc) which will result in a portrait of Jeff Hall and include Polio.

Birmingham City FC will be partnering with them and their Manager and a couple of the players will visit Jeff Hall’s street art portrait for a media call/photo op. Birmingham City have offered a box to polio survivors on their last home game with Wigan on Saturday 27th April.

They will put photos on their social media and mention in their game collateral. Birmingham City Council will be giving media space around the city.

On Friday 26th April, a special commemorative event will be held at the Impact Hub in Birmingham. Attending will be regional and national MPs who want to learn more about the effort to eradicate polio and polio survivors who will be sharing their stores. An invitation is also extended to Rotarians, this will be a great opportunity to celebrate the progress that’s been made so far and reflect on the final push for a polio-free world.
