Once again we were blown away by the standard of young people at our District Intermediate Youth Speaks Final last week.
Six schools made it to the final and all gave excellent presentations, speaking on a number of different subjects.
The winners were Aylesbury High School, sponsored by Aylesbury Hundreds Rotary and they were speaking on "How violent games affect the younger generation". Runners Up were St Albans Girls School, sponosed by St Albans Verulamium, speaking on "Why Western Countries should accept refugees".
Prizes were also awared to the Best Chair, Best Speaker and Best Vote of Thanks which were awareded as follows:-
Best Chair - Emma Harrington of Aylesbury High School
Best Speaker - Sabrina Choudhury, St Albans Girls School
Best Vote of Thanks - Katie Honour, Bishop's Hatfield
