Parent and pupils check out Morda School Library's new stock!

"On Wednesday 6th March at 3.15 Rockies, Andes and Himalayas parents/carers and children are invited to visit Morda School Library to see all our fantastic new non-fiction books and participate in choosing fiction books with your child, as part of our World Book Day celebrations.

On display will be the wonderful new books funded by grants awarded by: The Mary Hignett Bequest Fund, Primesave Properties, Oswestry Town Council as well as picture books won by a Year 5 child and books presented by the Royal Science Society. Refreshments will be served."

During the week of World Book Day (on Wednesday 6th March) we held an open library session after school where parents/carers were able to come with their children to see the new non fiction books and choose a reading book.

We publicised, through posters and our facebook pages, the funding we had received from you for books and set these out on display during the afternoon. The parents and children were very appreciative and following the interest in the books they are now 'on tour' in the classes for a special preview read before they go on the library shelves.

Every book has been catalogued and coded ready for library referencing and shelving.

Thanks again.
