Today Hatfield Rotary stalwarts braved the cold winds in our Town Centre…

It was Stroke Awareness Day, where we try and find people at risk by measuring blood pressures.  There was some unwillingness of many folk to participate (they knew they were OK, were in a hurry, had measured their pressure last week…).

This said, we did get over 60 men and ladies to come through the door and found -

  • FIVE people who had very high pressures, of which TWO were urgent enough to need to see their GPs first thing on Monday.
  • EIGHT others were regarded as medium risk and hence needed to Inform their GPs and keep a regular contact.

So all in all a good day’s work…
