Memphis Belles delight At Rotary’s Senior Citizens Tea Party

Saturday saw the Scout HQ in Grovebury Rd host a Tea Party organised by the Rotary Club of Leighton-Linslade for 56 of Leighton-Linslade Senior Citizens. Posh cakes and sandwiches were served in true Ritz Hotel style washed down by copious amounts of good old British Tea.

Entertainment was provided by the wonderful Memphis Belles, who delighted the crowd with their songs from decades gone by bringing back great memories for all those in attendance.

Nick Inwards Rotary Club President said “ It was great to do something special for our Senior Citizens and we have had loads of positive feedback with everyone really enjoying the day. We must say a special thank you to the Memphis Belles ,1st Leighton Buzzard Scouts and everyone who helped on the day all of whom made the event such a great experience for so many people”
