Letchworth Howard’s hospice help exceeds £23,000

Over £20,000 raised by Letchworth Howard Rotary over the years

Garden House Hospice Care in Letchworth Garden City has been doing its sums – and has found that Letchworth Howard Rotary Club has raised an “incredible” £22, 896 for the Hospice “over the years”.

The total does not include a £1,783.35 donation from some recent events, notably the club’s darts marathon at the end of last year, bringing the total to over £23,000.

Sue Plummer, Garden House chief executive, told the club that its members’ “hard work and dedication raising funds for us is greatly appreciated and never taken for granted”.

The Hospice’s own team, from its fund-raising department, had had “a great time” at the darts evening, she said. She was very much looking forward to coming to the club’s annual handover and presentation evening on July 1, which would enable her to thank people in person.
