Join In The Fun

The Games, which are free to all competitors, are designed to give adults with disabilities, in particular learning difficulties, an opportunity to take part in activities they would not normally be able to access, and there is a range of sports available, all of them specially adapted so that everyone, regardless of their disability, can take part.   The range of sports includes Archery, Cricket, Tennis, Cycling, Golf, Darts, Basketball, Table Tennis, Kurling and Bowls, as well as fun activities such as Penalty Shoot-Out, Skittles, Velcro Target, Boccia, Softball and Assault Course.

It is a great fun day out in the open air with the chance to try new activities, socialise, meet other groups, and picnic in the extensive grounds of the sports field.

The highlight for many competitors is the medal presentation ceremony at the end of the Games when everyone who took part receives a medal, and the day is often rounded off by some impromptu singing and dancing.

The 2019 Disabled Fun Games will be held on Sunday 8th September at the Bank of America sports grounds on Chester Business Park between 10.00am and 3.00 pm and we look forward to welcoming you there!
