in 4 people experience mental health issues each year with more than
676 million people affected by mental health issues worldwide.
Whether it is family or friends, neighbours or Rotarian colleagues, the
chances are we all know someone who is affected by some sort of mental
health problem. This is why we are making Mental Health a major part of
our Disease Prevention and Health & Wellbeing Avenue of Service for
2019/2020 and beyond.
As the first part of the development of our Mental Health support project we have designed a dedicated Rotarians4Mental Health website.
The purpose of the website, and its accompanying Facebook site, is to
provide our fellow Rotarians with a range of information on both Mental
Health issues and details of groups and organisations that might need
our support. In this way we can enable Clubs and Districts to make an
educated choice as to how they can best support people with mental
health issues in their communities.
There are already many excellent mental health projects already being
supported by clubs across Great Britain and Ireland, so if your club is
