Conference 2021 - Timetable/Programme

The conference will open on Saturday 2 October at 09.45hrs.  During Saturday there will be a mix of plenary and breakout sessions, concluding at 17.30hrs (lunch included).  The Sunday plenary programme will start at 09.30hrs and conclude at lunch time (lunch not included).

Click the 'Speakers - Conference 2021' link for details of speakers.  The programme is designed to give you the chance to get involved – not just sit and listen. It will include:

  • Question Time – your chance to talk to Nicki Scott, the new director of Rotary GB&I and David Ellis, the new Chair of Rotary GB&I’s Council, about the changes in Rotary (Sunday).
  • Break-outs so you can attend the topic that interests you, such as environmental projects, tackling modern slavery and homelessness (Saturday).
  • An ‘Open-Mike’ session where you can come up and talk for three minutes about something you are proud your Club has achieved (Saturday).

There will be several exhibitions and displays running throughout the conference - the regular exhibition of service and charity activities plus displays provided by Clubs including a Wall of Wonder (projects undertaken by Clubs), a Wall of Promise (youth competition displays), Rotary Heroes and Club Presidents.

On Saturday evening there will be a Gala Dinner with the theme – ‘The Speakeasy’ – come dressed as your favourite character from the Roaring Twenties and Thirties - Peaky Blinders, The Great Gatsby, Charlie Chaplin, Gangster & Moll, Flapper Girls, Lounge Lizards or even Bertie Wooster & the Drone Club.  Entertainment will be provided by the Whiskey Sours, a three-girl close harmony group.
