Covid-19 Precautions
By registering you are agreeing to follow the safety rules under which the Santa Fun operates. In particular you agree:
•    You will only take part in this event if you are feeling well, you are free from Covid-19 symptoms, and you are not subject to any self-isolation requirements.

•    Upon registration you will provide full contact details (i.e. Full Name, Address, Email and Mobile number) for track and trace purposes, you will also be asked to confirm these details on the day. These details will be held for 28 days after the date of the event, and then deleted; unless you indicate that you would like to remain on our database to receive information about future events.

•    Whilst this is an outdoor event, you are encouraged to bring along your own face-masks and anti-viral hand sanitiser gel, as you may wish to use these particularly if you encounter circumstances where social distancing is not possible. You may also wish to bring some water with you for the run.

The Closing time for registration is 12 noon on Saturday 26th November or earlier if run capacity is reached. Suits can be collected beforehand from designated collection points in Newbury from Saturday 13th November. Please bring a copy of your registration form with you when doing so. Otherwise registered runners can collect their suits from 9:00 am onwards when signing in for the event on the day.
In the event that the Santa Fun Run has to be cancelled, all entry fees are non-refundable and will be treated as a charitable donation.
The Event Safety Plan is available for download by clicking here.

Registration and Payment:
This is to be done via the Newbury Rotary Club Website via the link at the bottom of this page.

Collection of Suits
Suits will be available for collection from Saturday 12th November. You are encouraged to collect your Santa Suits from the Newbury collection sites:
Scott Waters Opticians, 98 Northbrook Street, Newbury RG14 1AA. Open Mon-Fri 9:00am to 5:30pm, Sat 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Newbury Better Health and Fitness Centre, Park Way, Newbury RG14 1EE. Open Mon-Fri 6:15am to 10:00pm, Sat & Sun 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Terms and Conditions:
This is a Fun Run which is not timed so is not a race. Runners can walk as much as they like. The route goes through public areas (streets, shopping areas etc.) and the public, bystanders and supporters should be treated with respect and given priority. Be aware, the public will be of all ages - old, young, fit and not so fit and may have pets in tow.
There will be qualified First Aiders present, but participants are responsible for their own safety, including their fitness to do the event.
Young Runners – Children (5-12 yrs.), Young People (13-17 yrs.)
Ages are considered at 27th November 2022. All Young People (13-17) and Children (5-12) can only compete with the permission of their parent or guardian who are responsible for their safe conduct and behaviour throughout the event. Children from 5-12 must be accompanied by the responsible adult throughout the event. Children from 5-7 must only do the short (1 km) route.
13-17 year olds, who are not accompanied by an adult responsible for them, will need to hand in an information and permission slip signed by their parent or guardian when collecting their runner number on the day.
Adults wishing to accompany their child over the 1 Km route and then leave their child in the care of another and then do the 5K run themselves.
Please arrange for the other adult to be at marshal position m7 or m5a (see 1 km route map) so they can accompany the child back to the Market Place and the finish. Once the child has been safely handed over by you, you can then rejoin the 5 km route at the traffic light controlled crossing point across Park Way and then  go up the ramp into East Street. We are sorry it is not feasible from a timing or congestion point of view for you to take your child in person back to the Market Place and then do the run.

Road Crossings:
Some of the route is in the Newbury Town centre pedestrian area. However, some crossings of roads and driveways are necessary and there is a section of road (Speen Lane) with no footway. Although Marshals will be assisting at key points, Runners will be crossing or running along live roads at their own risk and must obey the Highway Code. Those who are responsible for Young People (13-17) must ensure that the Young People understand and will abide by these conditions.
If you have read and agree to the above conditions, please click on the Link below to register and pay for your entry. Have an enjoyable and worthwhile day. Please contact or ring 07876 743033 if you have any questions. The allowed entry numbers are limited so please register early to avoid disappointment.

Some photographs will be taken for publicity purposes which Newbury Rotary and Visit Newbury may want to use on their websites. If you should not want photographs taken of individuals in your group, please let us know at registration. We will provide a tag so as to make every effort to exclude them from photos taken under our control.
We use JotForm and PayPal to process information. JotForm and PayPal operate in compliance with GDPR. Any personal information obtained will not be passed on to third parties and will be deleted 28 days later (in accordance with Covid-19 requirements), unless you indicate that you wish to remain on our database to receive information about future events.
