Thank you The Co-op!

Are you a member of the Co-op? If you are, then we thank you very much! The Co-op run a Local Community Fund, and every time a Co-op member shop at Co-op, 1% of what they spend on selected own-branded products and services goes to help fund community projects where they live. In addition, all of the money from plastic bags sold goes into the fund as well.

Wickford Rotary applied for a grant this year from the Local Community Fund to support Kool Carers, a local charity set up to provide respite and support to the young carers in the district.

Wickford Rotary applied for the grant in order to fund special days out for the carers, to give them some respite from the responsibilities that they take on during their normal working lives, normally looking after ill parents and siblings

This year the Co-op were able to give £5395 to Wickford Rotary to help them provide some exciting adventures during the coming year.
