8th November 2019 – Milton Keynes Global Grant approved!

Work is scheduled to start at the end of November.

Work is scheduled to start at the end of November.

To mark the start of the project, several members of Patna Rotary Club, including their President, Dr Neena Kumar and our Principal in the project, Rotarian Bijay, together with the Headteacher, held an opening ceremony. It was held outside the presently uninhabitable building which will be transformed into a library/computer room and indoor games/sports area. The grant money covering all the materials necessary.

A banner had been made indicating the project was a joint effort between our two clubs. The world-wide Rotary theme this year is Rotary Connects the World. Our project certainly epitomises that.

As is the custom in India on auspicious occasions, a coconut is broken open by the Principal, in this case President Kumar of Patna Rotary Club, warmly applauded by the Headteacher (blue jacket) pictured behind her.
